About Us

Our Story

I am so excited to share my incredible journey in the world of baking! Ever since I was 4 years old, I knew deep in my heart that I was destined to be a chef or a baker. My most favorite were my kitchen toys. Born and raised in India, my passion for baking blossomed even in the face of challenges. My parents faced financial struggles due to business losses and health issues. Amidst that struggle, I never had the nerve to ask for an oven. Yes the oven was a luxury and not a usual kitchen appliance for us. But that didn’t stop me! I got creative and I used larger metal cookware on the stove and cooked my cakes on a fire. My most prized possession was the makeshift oven that my father made for me by manipulating some wires into the cookware. The cakes came out perfect! Now when I look back, I feel that we had a good patent on hand. Growing up, there were no baking schools either, so I became a self-taught baker, learning from magazines, family, friends, and plenty of trial and error. At 18, our family took another leap of faith and migrated to the USA. With that I left behind my dream of baking, relatives, friends, and my boyfriend (my middle school sweetheart.) But destiny had some interesting plans for us! My middle school sweetheart, who had known all about my dreams, later joined me in the States and we got married. With my husband’s unwavering support, I finally enrolled in Le Cordon Bleu to study French Patisserie at the age of 27. It was truly a dream come true! However, life threw me a curveball. I lost my dad during my time at the school. It was a devastating blow that left me feeling lost and unmotivated to bake. I completed my school with flying colors but stepped away from baking altogether, returning to my banking career instead. My husband, while disappointed, understood my emotional state and gave me the space I needed. Fast forward to when my son turned one! My husband playfully insisted that I bake his first birthday cake, and I knew I had to overcome my grief. That moment reignited my passion, and I dove back into baking. I shared my creations on social media, and thanks to a friend’s referral, I had the amazing opportunity to compete in a cake competition pilot program. Even though I felt unprepared, I put my heart into it and WON! From that moment on, my baking journey took off, fueled by passion, motivation, and the love of my family.
